UglyStuff.ca is the creative hub for Canadian artist, musician, and developer David Cooney, specializing in hand-sculpted polymer clay art built directly onto everyday items. His art leans into grotesque, whimsical, and macabre aesthetics, inspired by classic monster special effects and pop-culture creature features. Origin & Philosophy Cooney channels his neurodivergence, specifically living with ( ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia ) into his sculpting process. Rather than chasing uniform perfection, he embraces asymmetry, rough textures, and bizarre expressions. The artwork gained broader attention after an original pieces were gifted to judges on Britain’s Got Talent.
